Conisborough Man’s Boast.

For being drunk in charge of a bicycle, George Hunt, a Conisborough miner, was at Doncaster on Wednesday, fined £2.

P.c. Nellie said he saw him in West Street, Conisborough, on June 19. Hunt was drunk and fell three times while trying to mount the machine. He narrowly missed knocking down several children and other people. There was a steep hill at the bottom of the road, and had Hunt ridden the machine a serious accident might have resulted.

Hunt tried to break away from him several times. When charged, Hunt said “I have got 22 ——convictions.”
