Conisborough Man’s Illness

John Boylan was charged, in custody, with being drunk and disorderly on Tuesday morning.

He told the Bench he had returned from the Isle of Man on Sunday night, was ill, and took some spirits for a remedy.

The Clerk inquired if he had been taking spirits from Sunday till Monday night or early on Tuesday morning.

Boylan said he was better now.

Fined 2/6 and costs.

A similar fine was imposed on William Taylor, of Denaby, who was charged with being drunk and disorderly.
