Conisborough Notes.

Hawkers & Footpaths

I am told that hawkers, chiefly from the Rotherham district, are a pest in Denaby streets on Sunday mornings. Perhaps the Council will take action and stop this unfair poaching, and the nuisance to the residents, many of whom complain rather bitterly. Conanby suffers from a similar nuisance.

There are grumbles about the footpath over North Cliff hills from Elm Green Lane to Station Road, which is in a bad state of repair. It is stated that two cannot walk abreast on the path connecting North Cliff Road with this footpath, as the hedge requires trimming.

Another complaint is that the portion of Conisborough which has electric street lighting does not get its illumination early enough. These are minor matters, but worthy of the Council’s attention.
