Small Pox at Conisborough
A case of smallpox was reported on Monday at Conisborough , the wife of a man named Calow, who recently resided on the Leach at Mexborough. The woman was removed to the Mexborough hospital.
A second case of smallpox has broken out in the Doncaster Road, Conisborough , the same neighbourhood where the other sufferers resided, and it is feared that the outbreak will further spread.
Works at Conisborough
The works at Conisborough , which had been closed since left by Messrs Baker and Bernard, wheel and axle makers, have been taken possession of by the Manchester, Sheffield and Lincolnshire Railway Company, and the inhabitants will be glad to know there’s a chance of the premises soon be used again.
