Conisborough Rovers Rotherham Baptists 2

These teams met at Conisborough on Saturday in the first round of the Carbrook Challenge Cup.

Owing to the wet weather there was only poor attendance.

The home team won the toss, and elected to kick towards the village. There came for the visitors, sent the ball in motion. They soon attack the own goal, but Would relieved in capital style.

Shortly after the home forwards played a good crossing game, Whittaker was able to score the first goal. Hill then added another point for Conisborough, and half-time the game stood:

On resuming, the visitors played up better, but the home team was too fast for them. Whittaker, Hulme and Senior doing some good work, out of which another goal resulted. The home team now had matters all their own way, and put on goal after goal, the game ultimately ending:
