Conisborough School Board

The above authority held their final meeting of the fifth board last evening (Thursday) at 6 PM.

The members present were Messrs R Hills (chairman) E.J.Nicholson and Maj Johnson.

The minutes of the last meeting were duly read and confirmed.

Tenders for the repair of the school wall were made by Mr J Twibey £5; Mr Goodlad £4 12s. The latter being the lowest was unanimously accepted.

George Curtis having failed to comply with an order of the magistrates to pay the usual fine and costs for the regular attendance of a child, it was decided to take further proceeding for the recovery thereof.

Miss Ethel Riley was accepted as a pupil teacher in the girls department.

A cheque for £30 of duly drawn and signed in favour of major Johnson for School account.
