Conisborough Victoria 7 Rawmarsh 0
Hockey At Conisborough.
Victoria entertained Rawmarsh, team which has not long been playing this game as men’s team. After fifteen minutes Webster opened the scoring for Victoria, and ten minutes afterwards got another. Clarkson and Meacock got further goals.
In the second half, playing against the slight slope, Rawmarsh kept well forward and threw Victoria offside many time. This procedure was eventually countered, and Clarkson made his quota into a “hat trick,” his last goal being well gathered from a fine centre by Moore just before time Wainwright added the seventh and last goal.
