Conisborough Woman’s False Pretences.

Hannah Lawrence, married woman, of Conisbro’, was charged at Doncaster, yesterday, with obtaining 10s. by false pretences from Arthur Mullahy, fried fish dealer; 10s, from Sarah Barton, and 11s. from Sarah Sweeton.

The prisoner represented that her husband worked at Denaby Colliery, and was, entitled to one ton of coal, but he had no money to pay for it. She offered to let the complainants have the coal for payment of the money named, and gave a false name and address.

Prisoner, who pleaded guilty, was bound over for six months.
