Conisborough Youth Council
A proposition by Mr A Alrich, Wath Area Youth officer, to organise a Yarmouth holiday centre to cater for the needs of Dearne district Youth clubs, received the full support of Conisbrough Youth Council last Thursday at their bi monthly meeting.
The centre which is near the sea, will be open for six weeks next year and will be under the personal management of Mr Alrich.
Attention was also drawn to the Don and Dearne Youth Conference and Training week end to be held between November 10 and 12th, in the County Primary School Wath on Dearne. It is proposed that two or three members should attend from each Youth club in the area.
“This is to create the feeling among club members that they all are all part of a much larger service,” said Mr Aldridge.
Chairman, Mr J Proctor, expressed the hope that more Youth clubs in the Conisbrough area would submit representatives to the New Council. “The more members we have the better,” he said.
