Conisbro’ Gas Works.
At the annual meeting held yesterday, Mr. E. Crawshaw in the chair, the annual report and balance sheet was adopted nem. die., on the motion of Mr. P. B. Coward (Rotherham), seconded by Mr. Morley (Conisbro’).
The accounts showed a balance of £314. 2s. 7d. on the year’s working.
The report proceeded as follows: ” The directors recommend that a dividend of six per cent, be paid on the 1st of June, amounting to £207, which will leave a balance of £368. 6s. Id. In the last report your directors remarked ‘probably new purifiers will be required.’ These have been found necessary, and a contract was made for delivery in May, 1881, at a cost of £179, which the directors propose paying from the surplus fund.
The directors who retire by rotation are Mr. W. Beevors and Mr. C, Kilner, who offer themselves for re-election.” The directors were re-elected.
