Conisbro’ Man’s “Bit.”
For stealing coal belonging to his next door neighbour, Hertert Elliott, alias Wilkinson, a Conisborough labourer was fined 40s. at Doncaster Police Court, yesterday.
On 24th of March Pearsall had a ton of coal delivered to her house and shortly after 5 o’clock, the next morning saw defendant take a large piece out of the coal house and take it next door, where he lodged.
Defendant told her he “was only taking a bit.”
