Conisbro’ School Board

The monthly meeting was held Wednesday night. Mr. Norwood presided.

The first business was the election of a caretaker. Out of 103 applicants five were selected to choose from. v;z.: Mr West, of Doncaster, Mr Brown of Conisborough, Mr Farmery of Conisborough, Mr. Whitehead, of Denaby Main.

Mr. Ravenscroft proposed Mr. West, and Mr-Pagdin seconded.

Mr. Booth proposed Mr. Farmery, and Mr. Robinson seconded, and the latter received a majority of three stop

Mr. Farmery was then declared elected, and he is to enter his duties on the 14th inst.. the salary to 24s. per week.

Mr. Robinson voted that £6 be paid to Mr Drabble, bank manager, as a salary, and this was seconded by Mr. Booth and carried.

Mr. Booth also moved that £80 5B paid for school management expensive and £600 for alterations.
