Conisbro’ “star” for Rockingham

Barry Breedon, Britain’s fastest 25 and 50-miler, has left Conisbrough Ivanhoe C.C. to join Rockingham Cycling Club and will make his debut with them in the Meersbrook C.C. (Sheffield) open “25” on the Blyth course on March 28th (writes DICK SNOWDON).

Teaming up with Mike McNamara, John Blacker and Derek Wood, Breedon should help make Rockingham C.C. the fastest team in the country, good enough to win any open team races at 25 and 50 miles.

With the ex-Conisbrough star keen to do pursuit racing this season, Rockingham C.C. may field a team in the North Midlands B.C.F. 4,000 metres team pursuit championship this year for the first time.
