Conisbro’s Gun.
Traction Engine Used To Haul It Round The Town.
The 6 inch German gun presented to Conisbro’ was duly installed in Coronation Park on Saturday, after a procession through the main streets of the township.
On its arrival at the park speeches were made by local councillors, who appealed for funds for the war memorial.
It being impossible to use horses to haul the gun round the town the organisers took the novel step of obtaining a traction j engine.
