Conisbrough 30 Swinton (2 wkts) 34
Swinton paid a visit to Conisbrough on Saturday with the result that they added another couple of points to their record. Conisbrough were all disposed off for the meagre total of 30, thanks chiefly to Blurton’s grand deliveries, which disposed of nine wickets for 19 runs, and Ratcliffe took 1 for 1. Currier was in rare form behind the stumps, taking three other Conisbrough players, and only letting one bye pass him.
Hepton and Keyes was the only batsmen to play the bowling of Blurton with any confidence, each of them contributing 9 to the total of 30.
Swinton sent in Tillotson and Athey to knock off the runs, and they kept together until Athey was bowled for 12 by Lowndes. Ratcliffe came in and saw Tillotson dismissed for 13. George Wilson came in and with Ratcliffe knocked off the required runs.
