Conisbrough Castle Mould

December 1970

South Yorkshire Times : Saturday, December 19th, 1970

Quote from the November issue of “Antique Dealer and Collectors Guide”: “Green glazed hexagonal vase modelled in the form of the keep at Conisbrough Castle.

The mould for this was originally used by the Bramelds, but was subsequently aquired by James Reed, of the Mexborough pottery and later by the Kilnhurst Old Pottery.

The absence of a factory mark renders attribution uncertain.”
