Youth Said to Have Been Caught Peeping in Window

Alleged by a witness to have gone to eight houses and peeped through, an 18-year-old Conisbrough youth, David Buck, apprentice joiner, 17 Doncaster Road, was bound over for two years and ordered to pay £2 6s costs at Doncaster West Riding Court on Saturday, for conduct likely a breach of the peace.

Asked for Good Hiding

Fred Cocksedge, 40, Cadeby Avenue, Conisbrough , said about 8.55 pm on January 4 as he left home to go to work he saw book looking through the window of a house across the road.

“He went to eight houses and peeped into eight separate windows,” said Cocksedge.

“While he was peeping” continue Cocksedge, “my wife went for Harry Smith, tenant of one of the houses.” He and Smith chased and caught Buck.

When caught. Buck said: “I am sorry, I will not do it again.”

He said he would give them money, accepting a good hiding, or anything if they let him go.

Coxsedge said the peeping was upsetting women.

Harry Smith, Thirlwall Avenue, Conisbrough, said he had left work on previous occasions through complaints of peeping. When caught buck said “I do not know what made me do it.”

Book said before he left home at about 6:45 PM he had been ill. He was ill again when he got the cell wall Avenue. “A man came up to me and said, “come here I want you to have been peeping through windows,” said book, “it was a shock to me” he added.

In an alleged statement he admitted looking through the window of one house.
