Conisbrough Council will Attend Coronation Service
Conisbrough Urban Council who concluded their public business on Wednesday in 10 minutes, were informed by their Chairman, Councillor D Sheldon, J.P., assuming that they have now received from the Queen’s Printers their copy of the order of the Coronation service.
Councillor RH Shephard said they should agree to hold a service, and the chairman intimated that they would receive an in the invitation in due course.
Mr Sheppard proposed that the council should attend Denaby Parish Church, Councillor I Houghton seconded, and the council agreed.
Amid laughter, County Councillor J Prendergast remarked: “This will be referred back at the next meeting.”
