Conisbrough Headteacher Is Leaving

Mr. D. Brynmore Jones, headmaster of Conisbrough Morley Place Junior School, for the past two years, will leave in September to become a Senior Lecturer in Education at Sheffield City Training College.

Mr. Jones was educated at St. David’s College, Lampeter, and Watford Training College, he gained a Diploma in Primary Education at Leeds University.  Married with one son, he has lectured for teachers’ courses at the Institute of Education (Leeds University) and Woolley Hall College Wakefield

He taught in Middlesex, and for 5 years before coming to Conisbrough, was head of a junior school at Cleckheaton.  Mr. Jones is an official at the Northern Counties Amateur Athletic Association.

His wife, Mrs. M. T. Jones, is an enthusiastic member of Conisbrough Parish Church and a member of the Mothers’ Union Working Party and the Young Wives’ group.
