Conisbrough Ivanhoe C. C.
The annual meeting of Conisbrough Ivanhoe cycling club was held on Sunday. The club has a membership of over 80, including cyclists from Mexborough, Swinton, Doncaster, and Edlington areas.
One of the most outstanding and promising cyclists last year was Miss A. James, a 15 year old who, although she has no competitive awards to her credit, will no doubt prove a successful track and road competitor this year.
The meeting discussed plans for runs abroad during the year. Many of the younger members were in favour of runs on the continent.
The programme for January and February includes runs to Southwell, Aberford, Woodhead and Newark.
Officials for 1957 are:
President. Mr. C. J. Pickett, M.B.E., M.C.: Chairman, Mr. F. Oldfield: general secretary and treasurer, Mr. R. Longley: track Secretary. Mr A. Marshall; and massed start secretary, Mr. R. Whiteley.
