600 Miles Tour on Continent
Conisbrough Ivanhoe Cyclists
Four members of Conisbrough Ivanhoe cycling club, to from Conisbrough one each from Mexborough and colours, of recently completed his 600 miles touring holiday in Germany.
The boys, Anthony Gray, and Allman Marshall, of Conisbrough, Philip Beighton of Kilner, and Morris Duke, of Mexborough, spent 16 days altogether touring Germany on bicycle and on their train journey into Germany.
They have been staying at several youth hostels in Germany, but one night, unable to reach their destination, they stayed in a climbing hut on a mountainside.
They toured the Rhine Valley and visited Cologne, Heidelberg, Koblenz, Backerach, Bad Kreuznach, Bad Wimpen, Eberback, Zwelbrucken, and Saarbrucken (Zaarland) and Dreisbach (Luxembourg) and returned home by train.
