Conisbrough Massed Start Race Success

Conisbrough Ivanhoe Cycling Club’s first massed start road race under N.C.U. Rules overs 51 miles of local roads on Sunday was run by Rawmarsh and Parkgate cycling club rider Peter Cahill.

Second was he good win of Barnsley, who was also awarded the price of the most aggressive rider in the event. Third place was taken by P Berner of Doncaster Central.R.C.C..

The team prize was taken by the Dearne and District team, who, by the narrowest of margins, beat the Ivanhoe team consisting of B Breedon (7th), A.W.Marshall (8th) and A Greathead (14th)

10 members of the Ivanhoe Club attended the weekly club run on Sunday. The reason for the apparent decline was the road race which was being promoted by the club.
