Station Road School

Station Road School have now fixed their Christmas timetable. In the junior department a bring and buy stall has been arranged for today (Friday). This is for the children only.

On December 16 the Parent – Teacher Association hold their Christmas party.

December 20 today to the children’s Christmas party and an informal carol service will be held on the 21st.

Games afternoons are arranged for the last week of term. In the infants department a carol service will be held on December 13, a Christmas concert on 14th and the children’s party on the 15th. Parents are invited to the first two.

Ivanhoe Cycling Club

last Sunday 36 members were present on the Conisbrough Ivanhoe C.C. run to Shireoaks. Tea was taken at Blyth.

While two teams from the club were playing football at Shireoaks (the match was drawn) the remaining members went on a trip to Bolsover before returning to Blyth.

Chairman of the club, Mr F Oldfield, as again been elected as track racing secretary of the N.C.U.S.Y. and N.M. centre, and R Longley, club secretary, and S Oldfield senior, were again elected judges.

Next Sunday’s run to Southwell (tea Blyth). The Red Lion Hotel at 9:30 am
