Conisbrough Parish Council.

The usual monthly meeting was held on Wednesday night, Mr Pagdin in the chair, the other members present being Messrs Butcher, Norwood, Singleton, Rayner, Lees, Mosby, Martin, Holmes, and Robinson.

The minutes of last meeting were confirmed, on the motion of Mr, Norwood, seconded by Mr, Butcher.

A letter was read from Mr F. E. Nicholson, Doncaster stating that there was not a public road from Conisborough to Martin Wells farm, and that it was useless appealing to the county council. Members of the council did not feel satisfied with the reply, and it was decided on the motion of Mr Holmes, seconded by Mr, Rayner, that a committee consisting of Messrs, Singleton and Martin, be formed to make enquiries on the question and report further.

Messrs, Rose and Co, Manchester, who supplied the council with a fire engine, asked for the return of ladders and brass junction sent on approval. Capt Jones considered they were necessary to the complete equipment of a fire brigade.

It was decided, on the motion of Mr Butcher, seconded by Mr Martin, the articles be purchased also fireplace for fixing over the doors of firemen.
