Conisbrough Scheme To Create a Beauty Spot
A grant of £1,000 has been made by the West County Council to help Conisbrough Urban Council to turn a disused quarry at the junction of Doncaster Road and Crookhill Road into a beauty spot and a public park with a view of Conisbrough Castle and the Don Valley.
Clerk to the Council, Mr. P. F. Edwardson, told a “South Yorkshire Times ” reporter this week, that it was hoped to make a start on the park within the next financial year.
The estimated cost is £3.400.
