Conisborough School Board

The ordinary monthly meeting of the above Board was held in the Board room last night.

Members present: Messrs C Kilner (in the chair), G T Nicholson and Major E A Johnson.

The minutes of the last meeting and being duly confirmed, the board proceeded to the election of a mistress of the girls department.

It was unanimously decided to appoint Miss Emily Parkinson, from the Bentley school, near Doncaster.

The Clerk informed the Board that the Educational Department had sanctioned the re-engagement of Miss Goodlad as pupil teacher.

The Clerk was instructed to write to Mr Tribe and Mr Goodlad, asking for tenders for raising the partition wall.He was also instructed to visit Sheffield and drop in the necessary information with regard to the proposed alterations in the infant school furniture.

Cheques amounting to £45 would do were drawn and signed
