The match was played on the ground of the latter on Saturday. Thompson, the visitors’ captain, won the toss, and decided to kick uphill. The home centre started the ball, and the forwards were soon at work in the visitor’s territory, but were unable to score until 15 minutes’ play had elapsed. Soon after they put on two more points, and thus then the visitors roused themselves up, and by some good combined play scored goal No. 1. The visitor,’ left wing then took possession of the ball, and after a bit of neat passing, Brown scored a second goal. Nothing further occurred up to half time, the game standing:

After the change of ends the visitors had the best of play, and were not long before they put two more goals to their credit. After this some very exciting play followed and five minutes before time Coop fouled the ball near his own goal, giving the home players a penalty kick, from which they scored, and when the whistle blew, the game stood:
