Not Building for NCB
Conisbrough U D C refusal
Conisbrough Council have refused to build houses for the National Coal Board it was disclosed at their meeting on Monday.
The NCB requested that the Council built 20 houses of the subsidy of £24 12s for men who would work at Cadeby Main Colliery.
The Clerk of the council (Mr R.F.Edwardson) said when houses were built by local councils the Coal Board chose the tenants and colliery workers could “jump” the housing queue.
