Council Candidates Conisbrough East Ward

Mr. Stanley G. Oldfield

Mr Oldfield lives at 37, Roberts Avenue. Conisbrough, in which premises he moved following the demolition of his house and previous shop premises in Brook Square.

Aged 47. Member of the Independent Traders’ Alliance he is in business in other premises in Brook Square and is former delegate member of Mexborough Trades’ Council from the Building Trades’ Operatives.

Coun. John Stewart- (Labour)

A native of Conisbrough, and has resided in the East Ward for the past 22 years.

He has represented the East Ward on the Urban Council for the past three years, and has been nominated by Denaby and Cadeby N.U.M. branches and other trade unions.

He is an N.U.M. committee member and has attended courses at Bingley Hall and Wortley Hall.
