Ellis Robinson At Last Gets Honour
Sportsmen throughout the district will share in the congratulations we offer to Ellis Robinson on being awarded his “cap” for Yorkshire.
It is not so long ago that Robinson was playing with Mexborough in Evening League matches and then were seen those qualities that have deservedly won him the present honour—his brilliant fielding, his hostile bowling and his pugnacious batting.
It is only a day or two since a writer in the “Times” suggested that some recognition of Robinson’s services to the County was long overdue. More power to his arm!
