Outlook of the Clubs
Denaby
A Shortened Programme.
Yorkshire Council.
As in the last few seasons Denaby will compete in the Yorkshire Council and Doncaster League competitions. The Yorkshire Council team will have to arrange two other matches to qualify for the championship tests, for since their fixtures were arranged Dinnington and L.N.E.R. have withdrawn from the competition. That leaves Denaby with only 18 games and they must have 18 played before the last Saturday in August to qualify. Fixtures have been arranged this year with Bolton and Rossington; and meeting with Swinton will be resumed. The club will make their usual Easter tour.
So far the, club have no new players engaged but all last season’s will be available.
Firbeck and Maltby are the only new clubs the Doncaster League side have to meet.
C. Higgins will be captain and L. Robinson vice-captain of the Yorkshire Council team; Wathey captain and H. Foster vice-captain of the Doncaster League team. The ground is in fine condition.
