Critics of Subsidy Cut

Conisbrough Councillors, at their meeting on Monday criticised the government’s policy on housing subsidies.
Ald Ben Roberts said it was forcing Council house rents higher and higher.
Councillor H. Shephard said the bill would retard building all over the country.
The council were one of the original signatories calling for the special meeting of the Urban District Council Association on Friday last, which called for an amendment in the Bill.
