Cruelty in the Cadeby Mine.
At the Doncaster West Riding Court. on Saturday, John Rawson, driver, Denaby, was summoned for cruelty to a pony in the Cadeby Mine on the 25th February.
Mr. Gichard. of Rotherham, prosecuted.
It was stated that defendant, who did not appear, was in charge of a pony in the mine, and because he could not make the pony turn round he kicked it several times under the near side, so that next day the animal had a large swelling.
A fine of 5s. and 19s. 6d. costs was imposed.
