Cruelty to a Horse at Conisbro’
At Doncaster, on Saturday, James Kent, hawker, Mexborough, was fined 50 shillings, inclusive of course, for cruelty to a horse, at Conisbrough, on November 24.
Sergeant Horton and another witness stated that defendant lash the animal severely with a whip, but it could not travel any faster.
The animal was stopped and a large raw wound discovered under the saddle.
