Cruelty to Pit Pony
As a warning, the Denaby and Colliery Company on Saturday prosecuted a pony driver named Walter Robins, of Conisborough, for cruelty to his pit ponv.
Because he had lost his whip kicked the animal on the legs, inflicting a nasty wound.
He was ordered to pay a fine and costs, and was cautioned by the Bench.
