Damaged Potatoes
A fine of 20s. was imposed at Doncaster on Saturday on Tom Marshall, miner, of Denaby, for damaging growing potatoes in a field owned by Frank Leonard Bailey, farmer, of High Melton, on September 21st.
Arthur Green, horse-man, of High Melton, said he saw defendant take the potatoes out of a field. Besides taking the potatoes he had done considerable other damage.
Bailey estimated the damage at 4s. Marshall said he found the potatoes on the roadside nearby.
