Damaging Underwood.
At Doncaster on Saturday, Thomas Ross, miner, of Conisboro”, was fined 10s. for damaging underwood in Denaby Wood on July 30th.
P.c. Weatherill said he saw defendant walking about the wood trampling down the Underwood, and when told he would be reported -remarked, “Don’t make , it too hard; old , cock; I have no money to throw away for getting into trouble.
The constable also stated that the woods had been on fire three times this year owing to visitors, and Supt. Minty added that the owners were very anxious to stop trespassing in view of what had happened.
