Daughter Complained of Denaby Father’s Behaviour

After an 18-year-old girl had complained to a policeman that her father was causing a disturbance at home he went to investigate the matter.

He found the father in the street near his home shouting “She’s my daughter and I’ll do what I like with her.”

And at Doncaster West Riding Court on Saturday the father, James Cooper, (52), miner, of Blythe Street, Denaby, pleaded guilty by letter to being drunk and disorderly and using violent and abusive language.

He was fined £5, but the magistrates ordered that he attend court to be bound over.
