Dear Ride.
On Tuesday, at Doncaster, Geo. Morton, labourer, of Conisboro’, was fined 10s. for travelling on the Great Northern Railway, between Bawtry and Doncaster, on the previous day, without paying his fare.
When threatened with arrest he pulled out some papers, and said he had no money, but later found three half-crowns, and wanted to pay his fare.
Prisoner pleaded guilty, but said he did not refuse to pay.
He was ordered to pay 10s.
