Death of Mrs Farmer Denaby Main.

The sad death of Mrs Farmer, of Lowfield House, occurred on Saturday night with alarming suddenness.

As Mr and Mrs Farmer have business departments in town they were as a rule occupied till late hour on Saturdays.

On this occasion supper was taken, and a little after 12 o’clock the family retired. Nothing unusual was noticed in the appearance of Mrs Farmer until she had been in bed some 10 minutes later when Mr Farmer became alarmed and he noticed that his wife was in a serious condition and unconscious.

Without delay Dr McClure was summoned, and although he arrived in a few minutes he pronounced life extinct. No inquest has been held the coroner being quite satisfied that the death was due to natural causes. The deceased lady’s demise caused a profound sensation amongst many friends and relations.

Mr and Mrs Farmer have resided in the locality about 21 years and have always been held in the highest respect.

The deceased leaves a husband four sons and six daughters to mourn her loss and the greatest sympathy funeral took place on Wednesday at the Conisborough Cemetery. The streets were lined with people, blinds were drawn and shops closed en route.
