Death of Mrs G.M. Coates of Wath

It is with the most profound regret that we record the demise of Mrs. Lilian Coates, wife of Mr. G. M. Coates, so well-known in this district for his musical ability.

The utmost condolence is expressed with Mr. Coates in his sudden bereavement, and it only seems but a short time Shift he led his bride to the altar amid showery congratulations from his wide circle of friends.

We believe that Mrs. Coates was married on July 10th, 1884 , at Sheffield, nearly three years since. She was the daughter of Mr. Matthews, of Sheffield, and was only 23 years of age.

The cause of death was inflammation of the lungs, and the sad event occurred on Tuesday night.

The deceased will be buried at the Sheffield cemetery to-day (Friday). She leaves one child, a boy, aged about 15 months.
