Championship Aspirants Get Fright from Denaby.
Nottingham Forest Reserves 2 Denaby United 2
If the score did not reflect the run the play in the Midland League match between Nottingham Forest Reserves and Denaby United, Nottingham, that was due to the weakness of the Forest forwards in rounding off their attacks, and the exceptionally fine defence of Brannon and his backs.
The game between championship aspirants and wooden spoonists was largely one of shooting in bt the Forest, but in the first half this was in vain, and even a penalty kick was missed, Coyles shooting over the bar.
Brannon did all sorts of daring things, but Butler, in the Forest goal, had only touched the ball three times when, the end of 66 minutes, Siddall scored in a breakaway.
Seven minutes from the end Denabv scored again, this time by Adams, but then Jones and Chambers got through for the Forest to save a point in 2—2 draw.
