Denaby and Cadeby Main United Cricket club.

A meeting was held at the club room, the Denaby Main Hotel, on Tuesday night, the Rev. Jos Brooks presiding. There was a good attendance.

Mr H. H. Wray having presented a cup and medal to be competed for as the club might think Best, it was decided to call it a “Challenge Cup,” and give it for the best average in the first team. If one three years in succession it becomes the property of the winner.

The first match of the season takes place on Thursday, the 22nd inst, at Barnsley.

A strong committee has been formed, and the following is a list of officers:

President, W. H. Chambers, Esq.; Vice presidents, Rev. Jos. Brooks, Messrs. H. W. Cambell and H. H. Wray; secretary, F. Fisher; treasurer, John. R. Burdon. First team captain, W. H. Chambers; sub- captains, John Palmer and J. H. Hepton; second team captain: Frederick Harwood; Thursday team captain: George Butcher; groundsman, John Palmer; committee, Messrs G. Hollingsworth, M. K, J. Marriot, P. Freeman, J. Crossland, M. Duggan, G. Butcher, John. Johnson, T. W. Mosby, Jos. Makin, Charles Rowley, John. Warren, G. H. Hurst, John Day, J. H. Lee, G.
