Denaby & Cadeby 190 for 4 Yorkshire Main 147
Denaby and Cadeby had another good day on Saturday, beating the strong Edlington team very handsomely by six wickets and over 40 runs.
Yorkshire Main, had the satisfaction of producing the highest individual scorer, W Bower, who hit up 63 in good style, but the rest of the team, including the West Indian, Arthur Wharton, formerly of Denaby, performed but moderately, and the total only reached 147.
On the other side the Robinsons, Narroway, and A Day, were in capital form with the bat.
Luther Robinson is batting as well as ever he did, though now in the cricketers “sere and yellow leaf*,” and collected another of his innumerable half centuries before stumps were drawn.
