Weather Finally Won The Day In Aston Hall – Denaby Council Game.
What might well have been an exciting game was ruined by rain at Aston on Saturday, when Aston Hall and Denaby and Cadeby had to be content with a point each, the result of a draw.
Aston, South Riding League “B” Division leaders, declared at 151 for 9, but the visitors could have only one over – a maiden – before rain which brought in players off the field on a number of occasions, finally won the day.
