Denaby107 for 6 Rawmarsh 100
Denaby have discovered a new bowler in one of the old players.
Mr. Percy Bury is well-known as an all-round athlete, a fine cricketer, quite stylist, excellent hockey half-back, having figured with Ardsley and Doncaster Greenhouse, and one the most, delightful tennis players in the district watch.
He hasn’t done much of note during the past season owing to a severe illness.
He came out his shell, so to speak, Saturday, when he bowled in fine fashion against Rawmarsh, taking five wickets for 14.
Only two Rawmarsh men reached double figures out total 100, and Denaby passed this with only six men out.
