This interesting fixture, which was decided on Monday at Denaby, attracted a fair company of spectators.

An exceedingly interesting game was anticipated. The home team were at full strength, and, batting first, compiled 152 before all were dismissed.

Narroway made a splendid 38 but Percy Binns was responsible for the highest score, with 41 to his credit, and W. Smith came next with 24. Sweatman was the most successful trundle for the away team, taking three wickets for 29 runs.

Monk Bretton did not justify their reputation, being all dismissed for 73. L.F.Smith 29 and W. H and J. C. Made 14 each. A. Smith had this splendid analysis of six overs, maidens, 21 runs, six wickets. After Robinson bowled two overs for six runs and two wickets.
