Denaby gained a convincing win against Rawmarsh on Saturday by 101 runs.

Good batting by Greenwood who played a. splendid innings, R. Pattison (35) and Reggie Probert (20) enabled Denaby to score 177 and then Rawmarsh were trundled out for 75, their lowest score of the season.

Greenwood and Pattison put on 62 for the fourth wicket, and Wathey and Reg. Probert figured in a last wicket stand that realised 25. Rawmarsh started badly, none of the batsmen being able to cope with the fast bowling of Probert.

A feature of the game was the fine stumping by the respective wicket-keepers, White claiming five victims and Clarkson three.

Steel had 5 for 53 for the losers.
