There were two good batting displays, that of Mr. Rowley, of Eastwood, who assisted Bentley at the invitation of Mr. Phillips, and that of Tibbles, for Denaby, who played a merry innings, and was unlucky to get caught in the slips when he was one short of his century.
The best bowling performance was that of G. H. Chambers, of Bentley, who took five for 44. Scores
