Greenwood and Carlin
Denaby 212 for 7 Darton 146 for 5
Denaby again showed themselves on Saturday a team with too little weight of bowling to carry so great a weight of batting, and the result was the eighth inconclusive game of this season’s series. At Darton tibbles got his second ‘duck” in three days – following his 290 in the two immediately preceding innings – but Greenwood and Carlin made up for that.
Both played their customary free game and Denaby made their usual declaration. The bowlers, however. Were not able to get Darton out. They had five wickets in hand and where 66 behind at the close.
